The History department aims to ensure that our students not only know events and dates but also understand the connections between past and present.
From source criticism to argumentation, we give students the tools of thought they need to find their way in world events and to look at their own community as responsible citizens. Our school's history of nearly half a millennium is itself a living history lesson: the legacy of the college founded in 1557 teaches that knowledge and tradition connect us across generations. Beyond lessons, our students can deepen their knowledge in contests and projects.
