Heinrich László Physics Subject Competition – 2026

IX–X
grades may enter
0
subjects: mechanics, thermodynamics and electricity
0
rounds: county and national

The aim of the competition

To give students of Hungarian-language secondary schools in Romania who are interested in physics an opportunity to assess their theoretical and practical knowledge of physics.

The competition is held in two subjects: mechanics for grade IX students, and thermodynamics and electricity for grade X students. Entry details and the date of the competition will be announced and described on the main page of the Bolyai Farkas Multidisciplinary Subject Competition.

Subjects

Mechanics

Grade IX

For grade IX students.

Thermodynamics and electricity

Grade X

For grade X students.

Stages of the competition

1

County round – online test

Round I
An online (Google Forms) test. Entry details and the date of the competition will be announced on the competition's main page. The question papers can be downloaded from this page, or they are sent out to all the competition centres.
2

National round – test

Round II
Competitors have to complete a test of single-choice questions on the syllabus set for them: theoretical questions of increasing difficulty, calculation problems and questions based on measurement results.

Question papers – county round

Grade IX: Mechanics – county round
Grade X: Thermodynamics and electricity – county round

The question papers can be downloaded here, or they are sent out to all the competition centres.
