Our outstanding students

Our talented students

Bolyai Farkas Theoretical High School can be proud of more than 250 competition results every year at local, county, national and Carpathian Basin level. Our school has traditionally been one of the most successful institutions of Hungarian-language education in Transylvania, and it brings up many students who receive state, foundation and international awards.
Our most successful students receive many forms of recognition: the Bolyai Farkas Award, the Mákvirág Award, the Alma Mater Award, the Barabási Albert László Physics Award, as well as scholarships abroad and Erasmus exchange programmes.

Competition winners

Mathematics, computer science, the sciences, the humanities: our students represent every one of our sections. In 2024 Barta-Zágoni Csongor won first prize at both the National Hungarian Mathematics Olympiad (Országos Magyar Matematika Olimpia) and the Transylvanian Hungarian Mathematics Competition (Erdélyi Magyar Matematika Verseny).

TUDEK and research competitions

Our students carry out independent research with a teacher as mentor and present their results at the TUDEK Student Research Conference (Tanulói Tudományos Konferencia). In 2024 Ludescher Janka took first place in the humanities section and went through to the Carpathian Basin final of TUDOK.

Erasmus scholarship holders

Our school takes part in several active Erasmus+ projects. In 2023–24, 16 students travelled to Granada (Spain) for a work placement in web development (CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, MySQL). Partner countries of earlier projects: Germany, Portugal, Greece.
